3 Summer Mocktails for a Healthy Happy Hour

For all of us in the southern hemisphere the weather is reaching its peak and as we seek to refresh and revitalise the body what better way than to juice up a whole lot of goodies from the garden.

With all the flair of an exotic cocktail, let these summer juices be your healthy indulgence.

Simply add these ingredients to your juicer, stir and serve in an extra special glass. You could use a blender as well, just be sure to strain out the fibres.

Buddy Mary

1 tomato

1 small carrot

1/2 Lime – peeledĀ 

2 apples

1 handful baby spinach leaves

1/4 bunch basil leaves

Add to serve:

1 tsp Tabasco sauce

1 celery stick

3 Ice cubes

Raita Mocktail

1 cucumberĀ 

1 pear

1/2 lemon

1/4 bunch of parsley leaves

1/2 handful of mint leaves

1 handful of spinach leaves

2 dried cardamon pod

1/2 tsp cumin seeds

Add to serve:

100ml water

1tbsp Greek Yoghurt

3 ice cubes

Green PiƱa Colada

2 good handfuls of Tuscan Kale

1 celery stick

1/2 small pineapple (peeled and cored)

1/4 lemon

2cm piece of fresh ginger

Add to serve:

200ml coconut water

3 ice cubes
